Sense Ride 5

RunRepeat found the Salomon Sense Ride 5 to have immaculate lockdown and a smooth and stable ride, making it confident on moderate trails and steep downhills. In contrast, iRunFar noted that the outsole excels in many areas, but struggles with slick, smooth surfaces, such as wet rocks or road lines. iRunFar also appreciated the updated softer compound, which makes the shoe more comfortable, but noted that it may not provide enough protection for sensitive feet on technical terrain. Road Trail Run agreed that the upper hold is impeccable for technical terrain, but suggested that the rigid platform could use more flex and decoupling, and that the low toe box may require sizing up.
